Meg Rose Plumb, Wales, March 2010

We had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka - staying with Ajith, the manager at the bungalow made our holiday really special as we were so kindly looked after. We thought the bungalow and its situation absolutely beautiful - the pool, gorgeous!

The food was great - we had a wide variety of Sri Lankan food so we experienced lots of previously unknown vegetables and had lots of fruit and coconut water from the garden, we were taken to the beach and tea factory and I was thrilled to go to a Buddhist temple.
I think Ajith is an amazing man, a true healer. I feel honored to have met him. He looked after me and gave me medicines which prompted me to feel much better than I had for most of our wintry - winter. He gave me wonderful tea at night as well. His way with animals was inspirational for my grandchildren who absolutely loved him.

Thank you for having us at your bungalow and making our holiday really special.

Champika, Colombo, June 2010

This is just a short note to say thank you very much for helping make our stay at your bungalow last weekend a memorable one. We were a stressed out bunch before we came and you gave us just the right amount of space and privacy to help us unwind while making sure everything was in place from the background.

The charming and relaxing ambiance about the place and your warm hospitality is something we would definitely come back to.

Absolutely loved our stay here- wish we could have stayed longer! After our stay in Colombo it was lovely to get away from the city and the estate had the added benefit of being only one and a half hours from Colombo (we were told the roads and traffic were terrible but we avoided rush hour and so it was a easy drive and roads were actually great!) Kalutra was a stop in our trip after which we continued further down south.

Really glad that we stayed in this colonial house and got an experience of staying in an estate as the rest of our trip was in hotels. The drive to the estate is accompanied by beautiful coastal views down the galle road and once past the nearest town, the winding roads lead to the estate surrounded by fields of paddy. The estate is located quite high up and we passed the rubber factories and smiling and helpful estate workers. There is a real charm in the fact that it is a working estate! The estate with its acres of rubber and coconut trees was so breathtaking.

The view from the warm rocks as the sun sets is indescribable! Such a peaceful and relaxing place,we were greeted with fresh tropical juices and provided with a lovely spread of snacks laid out next to the pool! The food was amazing- so fresh and wonderfully prepared. Our lunch of over 15 different currys and meats was just out of this world- cooked in authentic sri lankan clay pots I can understand why I this is considered a delicacy! Rooms and bathrooms are clean and modern.

The beach is located within an easy drive- a must try is a famous new monis and old monis bakeries which I am told have been there for a few generations! All in all we enjoyed our trip to Sri Lanka! Definitely plan to return to Sri Lanka and our trip wouldnt be complete without another visit (longer this time I hope) to this lovely estate!
